Looking for a night filled with romance and adventure? Look no further than this year's "A Night in Paris" annual formal presented by Bethune College Council! On March 24th 2023, Prepare to experience a night of fun, dancing, and unforgettable memories with friends, classmates, or even a Significant Other :). Whether you're looking for a chance to show off your dance moves or to simply enjoy the ambiance, this is one event you won't want to miss.

All tickets are sold on a *non-refundable basis.

Ramadan Accommodations:

We will be serving an entirely halal meal (with vegetarian option), dinner will be served after sundown, and we will observe a no music period 10 minutes before & after sundown. A separate prayer space will also be available. Any dancing time & the DJ set will start at 10pm.

Bus Information:

Buses will depart from the calumet bus loop (near Bethune college) at the following times:

  • 5:30pm
  • 5:45pm
  • 6:00pm
  • 6:15pm

Buses will leave the venue for campus at the following times:

  • 12:30am
  • 12:45am
  • 1:30am
  • 1:45am

Frequently asked questions

What is included with the ticket?

4 course meal, *4 alcoholic drink tickets, unlimited non-alcoholic drinks, *optional transport to & from the venue, access to 2 photobooths, back to back DJ set (the same DJs as the Bethune frosh party) , and a *chance to win an award! *Subject to availability & eligibility.

Is there parking at the venue

Yes there is parking available at the venue, however we encourage you to ether carpool with a designated driver, take a taxi/uber, or utilize our transportation.

**Can I bring a non-york friend or significant other? (NON-YORK POLICY)**

Yes! You most absolutely can! However please keep in mind that any non-York individuals must be sponsored by a current Bethune student, up to a limit of 1 individual per Bethune student.

Are other york colleges/bethune alumni allowed to attend?

Yes, absolutely! Please be careful & select the correct ticket when purchasing. We verify all purchases.

Can I smoke/bring outside alcohol into the venue?

No. Any outside alcohol & smoking is not permitted inside the venue as per provincial law. Bags will be subject to inspection by security. However you are more than welcome to smoke/drink in designated areas :)

Prohibited Items

NO outside alcohol & liquor, weapons of any kind (e.g. knives, guns), Illegal substances, drugs, fireworks, candles or any items the organizers may consider dangerous or problematic. Please try to limit the size of the bag you bring, to speed up the screening process.

Security & Entry

Security will be present. All participants are subject to being searched & ID'd prior to entry into the event. You will be wrist banded according to your age. Organizers & security reserve the right to deny entry or eject any person from the event at any time with or without notice.

Re-entry policy

Re-entry into the venue will be allowed until 1pm.

Refund Policy

Tickets are sold on a non-refundable basis, however some refunds may be granted more than 72hrs in advance in extenuating circumstances to be determined on a per case basis by the VP Social. No refund requests will be considered within 72hrs prior to the event.

Is the food halal & will meals be served after sundown?

Yes. All menu items are halal & meals will also be served after sundown.

What if I have allergies / dietary restrictions?

Please note the restrictions down in the form field when you purchase your ticket. We will try our best to accommodate (we will have allergen info cards at each food platter), however because it is a buffet we cannot guarantee no-cross contamination.

Is there a dress code?

We do not enforce a dress code to accommodate everyone, however we do ask all attendees to make an effort to dress as elegantly as they can & often most attendees take this as an opportunity to dress to impress :). Plus, there are awards for the best dressed people...

Bethune College is one of the great colleges of York University. Founded in 1971 as College G, Bethune College started out in the basement of the Steacie Science building. Bethune College has existed since the infancy of York University, as it was originally directed toward African and Third-World Studies. By 1988, the college transitioned to the disciplines of science and engineering, which it is known for today.
